After her death William Bell married Elinor Holwell Stewart (3rd marriage of William Bell's life). With her he had at least two more children - Henry Reid Bell, his 4th son on 29th May 1832 and Elizabeth Bruce Bell, on 19th Aug 1833. William Bell can also be found on the Colonial Times newspaper, of 20th Oct 1835, in a notice that reads : "Undersigned requests, that,nil claims against Captain William Bell, Fix this text of the Bengal Artillery, may be lodged with with him before the 30th instant. :"
