Dr Souvik Mukherjee is assistant professor in the department of English at Presidency University and the principal investigator on this project. His main interests are Videogame Studies, (the) Digital Humanities, Early Modern Literature and Literary Theory although he also teaches other areas of English Literature such as Romanticism and Modernism.;More

 

Milinda Banerjee

Historian and Research Advisor

 

Milinda Banerjee's main research and teaching interests lie in the field of early modern and colonial studies, and most of his work has revolved around locating the global and multi-layered origins of cultural and political modernities. He specialises in the intellectual and social history of late precolonial, colonial, and early postcolonial South Asia, with a primary focus on Bengal.

 

Sanjib Chatterjee

Technical Advisor

 

Sanjib Chatterjee is a computer applications specialist (MCA) and has been exploring a wide range of open-source technologies for over 8 years. Sanjib loves to develop applications for education and research. He is an expert in developing web applications, mobile applications, GIS-based applications, embedded and system applications and in the customization of open-source software and content-management systems. He loves to adopt new technologies and is interested in working with big data and statistical data analysis.

 

Purba Hossain

Purba Hossain is a postgraduate student at Presidency University specialising in Modern History. Her academic interests lie in colonial Indian society, the Dutch in Bengal (especially in context of activities of the European companies in pre-colonial Bengal, its socio-political impact and the use of records from the cemetery to reconstruct its history), the history of Calcutta, history of Religion, and Indo-European languages.

 

Sudipto Mitra

Researcher

 

Sudipto Mitra is a post-graduate student at Presidency University, Kolkata. He studies modern history and his interests include cultural and social history of colonial and post-colonial India, sports and culture in the modern world, visual history of modern Bengal and post-modern studies.

 

Anish Mitra

Researcher

 

Anish Mitra is a post-graduate student at the Department of History, Presidency University, Kolkata. His areas of interest include social and intellectual history of colonial and post-colonial India, Indology and the history of visual arts of India.
